Last UK Indie Fest Before Re-Branding

I cannot believe it is just over one week, since the  UK Indie Lit Fest  FREE Book Event took place at Kala Sangam in Bradford. It turned out to be the last one under this name because the event is being re-branded and will be known henceforth as Indie Fest UK offering events featuring not only Indie Authors but a whole lot more. Details still being put together. One thing I can share with you is the brand new logo.

It was so lovely to meet up with my good friend Maria Gibbs for this annual event. The pair of us had a wonderful time catching up with friends both old and new. We sold a handful of books between us but personally I came away with more than I went with.

Book Lover, Superfan, WINNER.

Although the UK Indie Lit Fest is a FREE Book Event all those attending were asked to download a FREE ticket. This not only helped us with finding out the numbers who might have been attending, but the ticket also acted as a raffle ticket with the opportunity for one lucky attending book lover to win a signed book.

No one was more suprised than our superfan and blogger Rainne Atkins who was the winner of the draw. She was telling me last year she spent around £200 on books, so she has been saving for a whole year. The way she was buying books I bet she exceeded last years spend? Rainne is a wonderul person and always happy to help Indie Authors, Writers & Poets. Congratulations to her the prize could not go to a better person (Actually I think she used the prize to treat her granddaughter Shanice to a book by our Indie Author friend K.S. Marsden.

Click HERE to visit Rainne’s wonderful blog and see the phenomenal amout of books she reads and reviews.
