So, it’s the first of December already! Can you believe it? The chocolate advent calendar will be coming out of hiding today (I hid it from myself and, even though I knew where I’d hidden it I was very good and didn’t pinch a single chocolate) and thoughts will turn, if they haven’t already, to when exactly we’ll be putting up the Christmas tree, and how much furniture we’ll have to juggle around/move upstairs to fit it in. We bought an enormous tree a couple of years ago and then moved the following summer to a tiny two-bedroomed house with a living room a quarter of the size of the old one. But we just can’t bring ourselves to buy another, smaller tree, so …
